To avoid confusion. Soccer can only mean one thing. You don’t want part of your audience to think that you’re actually talking about that silly sport where guys on steroid touch each other’s butts in and run around with a turkey egg.

As a United fan I have the utmost respect for Drogba. I hated him for scoring so much against us, but he’s such a positive character and seems to be using his position to help others. Chelsea were lucky to have such a great player and person.

You do understand he wanted to stay at Chelsea for years but Chelsea FC wanted to bring in young players and get rid of olds, so they only offered 1 year and he wouldn’t be first choice too. Drogba then thought now was the best time to go, and obviously it was as he got offers from China. At his age it’s not easy to go to a club that offers much, it’s normal for old players to go somewhere for the money, because then they can relax and end their career.
