Pierre Aubameyang is a 27 year old Gabonese player of Borussia Dortmund who has been taking the Bundesliga by storm after scoring 28 goals in 30 league appearances.
That’s the amount of goals that he has scored in the season of 2016-17.
During the previous season of 2015-16, Pierre Aubameyang was also very efficient when it came to scoring goals as the French born Gabonese player found the back of the net on 25 occasions in 30 Bundesliga appearances.
It´s because of all these impressive performances that Aubameyang has been displaying for the past few seasons that he has been attracting the attention of various top European clubs including: Ac.Milan, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City.
The contract of Pierre Aubameyang sees him remaining with Borussia Dortmund at least until 2020 but there has been a significantly large amount of rumors emerging claiming that Pierre could be making a move to another club in a few months when the summer transfer window opens up on July 1 of 2017. Bayern Munich have been picking up the German Bundesliga title for years.
The German champions are chasing a record straight fifth victory this season. RB Leipzig is the closest competition this term, and they were handed a favour on Saturday after Schalke 04 held Bayern to a 1-1 draw. The second-placed team could reduce the gap to one point if they win their clash.
Robert Lewandowski gave Bayern an early lead against Schalke but defender Naldo equalized in the 13th minute. The Bavarians had to work hard at maintaining the scoreline on the skipper Philipp Lahm’s 500th game for the club.
“It was a tough game because Schalke played well. We started well but were not so compact, also in midfield, and our two lines were too far apart from one another. We could only increase the pressure slightly at the end, but it was not enough,” Coach Carlo Ancelotti said after the game.
Leipzig would not have it easy when they face Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Fitness worries and suspension would make it an even more difficult task with top scorer Timo Werner, Diego Demme, Marcel Sabitzer, and Emil Forsberg ruled out. (more…)
